Job Information

Cameron James are working with a well-known marketing and communications company based in Blackburn looking for an HR Officer to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
This is an ideal opportunity to join a company in a key role to assist the Head of HR in delivering policies and procedures across the company.


Key responsibilities involve:


Recruitment:



• To carry out a robust 360 recruitment process from initial advertising, sourcing, and interview processes through to eligibility and reference checks, contract issuing and updating all relevant HR and payroll systems.


Administration:

• To update and maintain all employee records from attendance and holidays through to changes in hours.
• Ensure all weekly and monthly payrolls are completed accurately and on time
• Complete and produce year end payroll reports and distribute all associated employee documents-P60, P45 and P11d
• Preparation of staff handbooks
• Liaising with NVQ staff and external trainers in conjunction with heads of department to co-ordinate times and impact on business
• Produce reports for all MI- PDRs, Monthly KPIs, Attendance reports, payroll reports and pension updates


Policy & Procedure:



• Ensuring all employment policies and procedures are updated
• Advise and support managers across disciplinary, attendance and capability procedures
• Actively assess and retender for rewards and recognition to maintain engagement with a commercial focus
• Assist in recognition of Investors of People and maintain this focus through the company
• Assist and contribute to Health & Safety meetings
• Maintain own Employment Law knowledge and implement changes


The ideal person:



• CIPD qualified or working towards this
• Have relevant experience at this level and demonstrable examples
• Be highly analytical
