Cameron James are working with an exciting retail manufacturing company recruiting for an HR and H&S Administrator on a Maternity Cover contract until March 2016. Working 35 hours this is a fast paced, demanding role where you will be a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the HR and H&S office.

Key areas of responsibility will be:

• To provide an effective and dedicated Recruitment service, from initial placement of adverts through to interview arrangements and being part of the interviewing panel as well as giving feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
• To issue and prepare all starters/leavers information, obtain references and ensure all checks are carried out prior to start dates.
• To source external training providers and arrange training programmes and continual professional development courses and update company records accordingly.
• To liaise with management and Occupational Health to record long term absence and sickness ensuring all correspondence to employees is recorded
• To arrange and provide information for Health & Safety meetings, including departmental audits
• Attend all disciplinary hearings, home visits and general meetings to record all notes
• Update and maintain the fire registers and check the manual weekly copying in all sites
• To ensure that all administrative elements of HR are dealt with appropriately and accurately.




The ideal person:

• Have a positive outlook and deal with every query with a fresh outlook.
• Will ideally be CIPD qualified or working towards this.
• Have experience in a similar position
• Have excellent Excel and Word knowledge
• Will be able to drive due to location of the offices.
