Role: Senior Para-planner

Reporting to: Acting Head of Investment Structuring Team

Salary: £30,000 - £42,500 (Depending on skills / experience)

Benefits: DIS, Private Health Cover, Gym membership, 5% pension after probation passed

Holiday: 22 days (increasing by 1 per annum up to max 25)

Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm

Summary
We are recruiting for a personable, responsible and reliable individual to join our busy Investment Structuring team and provide immediate resource to the business as a whole.

There are 20 staff at the office in the City of London.

They provide a high quality, relationship based service to our clients focusing on structuring, funding and drawing from portfolios.

Role

Report Writing
• Report writing documenting the review and associated advice of existing investments, pensions, ISAs and other investment types. Also reports advising on funding and drawing from Personal Pensions and ISAs and portfolios more generally.
• Information gathering in respect of existing holdings for database input and inclusion in proposals. This would usually be delegated to the Financial Planning Administrator.
• Provide all advice within a strict ethical and compliance framework and under supervision of an FCA approved person within the team.


Oversight
• Four eyes principle of reports produced by the Investment Structuring Team.


Investment Structuring Team
• Attending weekly team meetings.
• Attending and actively contributing to the bi-annual Investment Structuring committee.


Client Relationship
• Attending client meetings as required.
• Follow up any actions from client meetings.
• Answering client queries, where appropriate.


Administration
• Deal with day to day administration tasks and queries on client portfolios.
• Follow internal systems and procedures
• Keep diary `1st` up to date on a daily basis.


Training Development and Professional Qualifications
• Maintain knowledge of ongoing legal & regulatory changes
• Take professional qualifications, in due course, that are relevant to the role


Software Packages Used
• MS Excel : Competent to prepare / format spreadsheets : additional competencies welcome
• MS Word
• Outlook
• First (Adviser Office) is used extensively
• O&M : Pension Profiler
• Equifax for AML purposes
