An exciting opportunity is now available for a Corporate Account Handler to join the successful team of a leading international broker in Birmingham.

You will assist and carry out insurance administration as required and provide day-to-day servicing and administration of clients' insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner in accordance with procedure and performance standards.

• Provide administrative services to clients
• Giving instructions to insurance providers
• Supporting Account Executives on a day to day basis
• Responsible for premiums exceeding £100,000 with fees over £10,000
• Checking policy documents (including endorsements) for accuracy prior to receipt by clients
• Handling invoicing of premiums due, maintaining effective credit control in respect of allocated clients
• Processing correspondence, renewals, pre-renewal activity, quotations and computer input
• Ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed on a daily basis
• Collate and prepare reports for both the client and insurer market
• Understand clients' situations, opportunities and problems and design appropriate solutions
• Ensure, where possible, premiums are settled in accordance with company credit control procedures
• Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as on-going at-desk training
• Develop and maintain positive on-going relationships with insurers and underwriters in a professional manner

You will have at least 5 years' commercial account handling exposure within the insurance sector, preferably cross-class commercial. Work toward CII will be an advantage as this will be fully supported if successful.
