Cameron James Recruitment is working with a market leading, innovative and AIM listed company to recruit a Head of Finance to join the business on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in an interesting contract for approximately 4 months. You will have full responsibility for the day to day running of the finance team and report into the Group Finance Director.

Responsibilities will include:

• You will be responsible for control of the financial transactions of the company and day to day transactions.
• Working across the organisation as a finance business partner: offering advice and support to non-finance teams
• Project Accounting and WIP reporting
• Preparation of Monthly management Accounts for the Board of Directors
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Preparation of year end accounts and liaison with our external accountants / auditors
• Quarterly VAT return preparation and submission
• Ad hoc projects
• Financial strategy and business planning
• Day to day management of the finance team
• Assisting with the implementation of new accounting system.
• Implementation of group financial controls, recommending improvements to the reporting system.

The ideal candidate will be intelligent, articulate, forward thinking with strong initiative. Candidates that have worked previously within the service sector would be of great interest to my client. This is a hands on role, so you will need to be confident to be involved with the detail. You will need to be f fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA with a proven track record of post qualification success.

This role is a key appointment for the organisation and will offer the appointed candidate the opportunity to be involved in implementing change.
