Cameron James Professional Recruitment are currently working with a manufacturing company that is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager that has worked within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for managing the production team, managing the procurement team, be responsible for stock control, implement a procurement system and manage and schedule the production plan.

They will also posses experience in a similar role in and have knowledge or worked previously within a Production based business environment which characterised by batch production and bespoke product design. As well as possessing excellent communication, delegation and impersonal skills that will excel the candidate in this managerial position.

Some of the day to day tasks include:

• To manage and implement the procurement system and processes
• To manage and be responsible for all stock control from raw materials through to finished stock within the company
• Responsible for all sales order processing through to the dispatch of the finished product.
• Manage & schedule the production plan with the factory management.
• Implement procedures and processes concerning all aspects of purchasing with external suppliers.

Experience required:

• Working with Sage System
• Knowledge in all aspects of procurement management.
• Having worked in a factory environment and processes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Knowledge in cost management
• CIPS qualified preffered not essential
