Insurance Claims Handler
Location: Bedford
Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 + 5% Matched Pension + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + Career Progression

Insurance Claims Handler:

� Manage a case load of up to 150 claims within the area of High Net Worth, Equine and Rural Insurance
� Take first notification of losses
� Attend client meetings
� Prepare claims histories
� Set internal reserves
� Ensure a rapid turnaround for all claims
� Ensure the customers receive the highest levels of customer service

Requirements for the Claims Handler Role:

� A confident and positive attitude
� Strong communication skills both written and verbal
� Negotiating and influencing ability
� Organised, methodical and a good time manager
� Ability to work calmly under pressure
� Successful candidate should be able to work on own initiative and also as an integral part of a team

Knowledge and Experience Required:

� No previous experience in Insurance is necessary as full training will be given, although candidates with some knowledge of HNW broking or claims handling would be considered
� CII - Certificate in Insurance or prepared to work towards within the first 12 months of accepting the role
� Proficient in MS Office Applications, including Word and Excel
