Duties for the Private Medical Insurance Sales Executive:
The purpose of this role is to sell products both through own personal exertion on a ‘non-advised’ basis and through encouraging third parties to do so on the company’s behalf.

To develop positive business relationships with intermediaries and introducers throughout the United Kingdom with the aim of having them represent the organisation and recommend their products to their clients. This will be achieved by providing a highly professional level of support and technical advice. Applicants with existing intermediary relationships which they would be free to continue to work with would be a decided advantage.

Key Responsibilities of Private Medical Insurance Executive:

• Responsibility for achieving required levels of sales through all available distribution channels and mediums, but with a primary focus on distribution via third parties.
• Establishing and maintaining professional and productive relationships with clients and distributors (including introducers) of the company products.
• To be proactive in growing the company’s intermediary and introducer panel through active canvassing and prospecting, including cold-calling as and when required, but also through thoughtful targeting of likely sources of distribution. This includes the development of a clear marketing strategy aimed at growing
• To act as product expert and trainer for third-party distributors and become their first point of contact for any support services required.
• To attend events and industry shows as required and to always represent the company in a professional manner to enhance the company’s brand
• To be responsible for application processing and related pre and post-sales activities.
• Assisting with existing business: administrative duties, follow-up service delivery, servicing existing groups and associations. Maintaining computerised database and updating client details



Requirements for the Private Medical Insurance Executive:

• A minimum of two years’ experience working at an Insurance brokerage
• A clear insight and understanding of insurance
• Knowledge and experience working in the field of Medical Insurance (International Medical Insurance would be desirable but not essential)
• Experience in dealing with clients on a direct basis
• A successful background in sales, working with targets and KPI’s
• In depth knowledge of and experience in working with insurance intermediaries in the UK
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills : articulate and personable
• Must be a team player : open, honest and willing to participate
• A high level of integrity
• Evidence of a commitment to the insurance industry (CII would be desirable but not essential)
