Cameron James are pleased to be exclusively partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Bradford in the recruitment of an HR Manager to join their team.With over 100 employees and exciting growth plans, this is a great time to join the business, and operate at a senior level working directly with the Managing Director.
Responsibilities include:
• Initial review of all HR systems and policies to ensure compliance with employment law and HR legislation
• To ensure a robust recruitment and selection plan is implemented working in conjunction with the heads of departments
• To maintain the HR database ensuring all changes for salaries, absence reporting, training records are up to date and manage the day to day payroll.
• Preparation of all weekly and monthly HR reports, ensuring these are cascaded across the business
• Analyse HR trends within the business and ensure retention, absence and training are addressed
• Act as the main point of contact for Managers to advise on employment issues such as dismissal, capability and Maternity/Paternity rights
• Mentor and Coach Managers to ensure that they are addressing and carrying out the HR responsibilities of their role following best practices
• To take on full responsibility for staff initiatives and employee engagement
• There will be travel involved to ensure that HR is seen as a key part of the business and to take part in training and meetings as required
The ideal HR Manager will have the following key skills and attitudes:
• Solid HR Generalist experience at HR Manager level ideally from a fast paced Manufacturing business
• Solution driven and proactive in championing HR across the business
• Fast paced and team based
• Highly proactive and confident in negotiation
• Customer focused both internally and externally
• Hands on style
