Cameron James Professional Recruitment is working with a manufacturing organisation in Dewsbury, who are looking to appoint a part-time HR Officer to provide a high quality, professional and effective service to employees on the whole range of HR issues. This is a part time post for 20 hours with flexibility on the days.



Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide an effective and efficient HR advisory service on all HR matters and working within the relevant Service Level Agreements.
• To advise on contentious and complex areas, including disciplinaries, grievances, under-performing staff and absence management. This includes advising on strategy and ensuring that HR policies and procedures are followed.
• To work closely with staff from designated services areas, to provide a quality and respected HR service to meet the specific needs of their areas of service.
• To negotiate and consult with Trade Unions and staff as appropriate.
• Provide timely and accurate management information required on all casework.
• Provide a professional and independent input to the recruitment and selection processes.
• Undertake specific project work as required.
• To assist in developing and delivering training to staff on HR policy and practice.
• To contribute as necessary to the development of all policies and procedures and to keep up to date on legislative changes.



Ideally, the successful candidate will be CIPD Qualified or equivalent with experience of working within a busy HR function, preferably within a manufacturing environment. You will be adept at working autonomously, dealing with complex information and an excellent communicator and facilitator.
