My client based in East London is looking for a Chief Information Officer to join their team reporting directly into the Managing Director. This is an excellent opportunity that requires previous experience in a similar kind of role.

You will be acting as a business leader and develop business solutions and systems as well as a competitive profit model. The role will be responsible for IT related business strategy constantly improving and enhancing logistic and management systems and building e commerce solutions to ensure that the company has a competitive advantage over its competitors and motivating workforce.

� Develop and implement IT-related business strategies and solutions to move the business forward
� Build the company�s logistics systems to improve the effectiveness of storage and distribution
� Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and upgrading IT systems
� Manage the company�s e-commerce strategy and build online sales system
� Support all the functional departments to improve their IT systems
� Oversee the company�s warehouse and transport departments in both London and Swindon
� Work closely with local deport managers, transport managers and warehouse mangers to offer long-term solution to their concerns
� Direct and motivate the workforce
� Develop and establish operating policies
� Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment
� Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications
� Assess new computing technologies to determine potential value for the company
� Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements
� Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts

Offering competitive salary of c£50k + travel allowance + flexible working hours

Some travelling will be required approx 1/2 per month
