My client is currently recruiting for a Qualified accountant to join their Publishing company in Central London. Candidates will ideally come from a publishing background and you will be managing the accounts side of the business.

The role is working in a team of 4 people which is split into the Management Accounts and the Accounts side and you will be reporting directly into the Finance Manager.

Duties will include:

� Implementing relevant accounting policies and ensuring adequate processes are in place
� Managing and closing the end of monthly accounts
� Reconciling balance sheet accounts
� Treasury management and working capital management including multicurrency accounts
� Reporting to parent company - financial reporting, cash flow and other financial information
� Managing all transactions being processed
� Preparing statutory accounts
� Preparing annual audit file and relevant documentation
� Managing one member of the team
� Responsible for all legal, statutory provisions including taxation, VAT, Company accounts and compliance
� Understanding of UK GAAP and tax obligations to ensure all statutory tax and accounting obligations are met
� Tax computations including instalment payments
� Monthly VAT returns, intrastat and EC sales list

Key skills:

� Qualified ACA or ACCA
� Industry experience within publishing
� Excellent accuracy and attention to details
� Good time management skills, able to prioritise and work to deadlines
� Strong communication and management skills
