One of the UKs best known brokers has a highly desirable new role for a Commercial Package Underwriter to join their expanding team in Leeds city centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Underwriter to join their established team covering UK wide business.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively carry out tasks set by senior team members
• Clear terms for quotes sent by Sales Executives with due reference to premium, terms and conditions and policy endorsements
• Provide effective support to others in the team and to Sales staff
• Provide solutions to queries and technical assistance for other departments
• Liaise with insurers and maintain relationships
• Effectively decide which insurer’s product would be most suitable for client’s needs
• Develop an understanding of insurance underwriting principles
• Operate to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Commercial insurance role with experience of Package risks
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and negotiation skills
• Good analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent problem solving skills
