An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client within the Engineering sector; they are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the team.
You will be working alongside the CFO in maintaining and developing high quality financial reporting for the business, this will be a `hands on` position, you will responsible for the finance function and all the day to day accounting. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Maintenance of the books and records of the Company
• Cash flow management
• Completion of tax returns for PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of annual financial statements
• Assistance in preparation of budget and financial forecasts
• Management report and accounting assistance
• Review and authorise weekly payroll
• Prepare monthly payroll
• Business planning

You will responsible for the smooth running of the accounts office. You will be encouraged to develop your skill sets to ensure they are optimised to manage the day to day needs of the business. This may involve attending relevant courses and seminars and maintaining a library of relevant reference material.

The successful candidate will possess a technically strong and hands on background and be able to demonstrate that they have experience to do the role and add value.
