Job Information

My client who is a leading company in their industry is currently seeking a Commercial Analyst. You will be working closely with the Commercial Manager and assisting the team through the production, analysis and maintenance of financial tracking and mapping documents

Main responsibilities

• Assisting with sales & margin forecasting
• Assist with risk analysis within sales forecasts across the group
• Assist with tendering documents
• Analyse pricing on a component level
• Reviewing bespoke quotes for sign-off
• Ensuring consistent margin application across quotes
• Sitting in on project launch meetings
• Holding/attending meetings with project teams and team leaders
• Cash mapping of bespoke projects and roll out programmes across the business
• Reviewing rebate agreements and monitoring amounts due
• Assisting with general SAP queries
• Production of ad-hoc financial reports
• Tracking of specific group department contribution into the wider business
• Collation of information to drive efficiencies within various departments of the business
• Testing completeness of sales through project trackers to accounts
• Closing out month end sales
• Collation of sales accruals information to be fed into the finance department
• Approval of Sales Credits
• Reporting on any potential month/year-end cut-off issues


Skills & Attributes

• Must be able to demonstrate strong external and internal client management expertise.
• Must possess a strong understanding of the relationship between account activities and key financial measurable.
• Be flexible to the requirements of a business
• Confident and competent communicator with varying management levels.
• Ability to remain calm, organised, focused and multi-task in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
• Comprehensive understanding of accounts
• Knowledge of SAP
• Previous experience of pricing analysis advantageous
