My client, a public sector organisation in Leicester, is looking to appoint a competent and highly experienced L&D expert.

This is a 12 month FTC and my client is open to consider the position on either a day rate or FTC Annual Salary.

Specifically, the purpose of this role is to deliver specific learning and development initiatives whic includes a new performance appraisal and competency framewok.

You will actively be involved in the following:

Lead on the development, implementation and review of a new performance appraisal scheme. This includes the production of policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current best practice and service needs.

Provide appropriate advice to Senior Managers, Employees and the recognised trade unions on current .best practice.

Under direction, act as a project manager for the roll out of a new appraisal and competence framework and other associated projects.

Provide relief cover, particularly for the other Business Partners, Equalities Advisor and for the Head of the Department on day to day HR matters such as absence management and employee relations.

Participate in the development of personnel systems, both manual and electronic and in the collation and circulation of performance and other statistical data.

In addition to the above, you will also be involved in supporting other HR project and policy work.
