Cameron James are partnering with a leading Bradford based law firm in recruiting a Legal Cashier position.
Our client, one of the leading businesses in their sector is looking for an experienced Cashier to join their team.
Reporting into the Financial Services Manager, you role will be to ensure the timely processing of allocated cashiering duties with the expected skill level, learning new tasks as and when required.
You will be operating both individually and as part of a team to ensure SRA Account Rules are adhered to and all service levels are achieved within the department.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and recording of office / client receipts and payments ensuring compliance with SRA Account Rules
• Bill drafting, finalising and posting, preparing client bills for Fee earners in accordance with service level agreements / client expectations
• Performing accurate and timely client bank reconciliations
• Dealing with transactions in support of the Possession Sales Conveyancing Team
• Performing client interest calculations
• Upon discovery report any breaches of SRA Account Rules to the Finance Services Manager and record on the breach log
• Generally acting as part of a wider team, assisting where possible on all cashiering issues, field and deal with queries, ensuring filing is kept up to date on a daily basis, distributing printing as required and any other ad-hoc duties
• Able to work well under pressure, use initiative and work within strict deadlines
• Possess good attention to detail and take pride in all tasks undertaken
• Able to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues when required
• Flexible regarding additional hours especially at month end
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels and have the ability to listen and interpret instructions
• Courteous and good telephone manner essential
• Open to change and keen to learn new skills

Key competencies:

• Numerate and good standard of literacy skills
• Accounts experience within a high volume environment
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook , Excel and Word
• An understanding of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and previous cashiering experience is essential
• Liberate software would be an advantage
