Job Information

My client, a nationally respected organisation, are looking for an experienced ER Specialist. In this role you will deliver employee relations specialist advice and support by telephone to ensure all ER cases and ER practices are managed effectively in line with best practice and agreed service standards.

This is a role where you are providing specific ER knowledge and advice to a national community of Managers and typically you could be managing up to 30 cases at any one time. This is not a Generalist role, it is pure ER complex workload.

Skills:

• Detailed knowledge and understanding of all systems, equipment processes and procedures related to the department
• Knowledge and experience of HR technical discipline and/or legal or regulatory framework
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and specialist software or systems relating to role
• Knowledge of working structures, roles and responsibilities
• Strong influencing skills
• Ability to critically analyse complex situations and recommend effective ER solutions
• Problem solving
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Letter and report writing skills
• Computer literate
• Compliance with internal and external regulatory standards
• Reporting incidents of non-compliance in line with legal and internal frameworks
• Determine the best ER solution to mitigate risk of litigation
• Monitor and report on performance against service standards within own area of work and work with others towards the improvement of service delivery



Qualifications:

• Breadth of experience in providing employee relations advice and guidance in a customer focussed, target driven, commercial environment
• Experience of preparing tribunal responses and bundles
• Preferably CIPD part/full qualification
