Our client is a leading transport business they are looking for a hands on and commercial Finance Manager to join their busy team. They are based in North West London in their new Head Office. This is a broad and interesting role reporting to the Financial Controller. You will need to be technically adept with strong communication skills and the ability to deal with non finance staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Nominal ledger control, preparation of monthly Management Accounts, variance analysis and other reports
• Manage the Purchase Ledger, treasury and invoicing function
• Statutory reporting and compliance
• Reconciliation
• Identification of control process improvements and seeing through changes
• Cashflow control
• Ad hoc project work for the FD and FC

This role requires a technically sound accountant with good process skills who would be confident in a ‘hands on’ role. Only fully Qualified candidates will be considered. You will need to be technically strong and have in depth experience of all the Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and cashflow management, The ideal candidate will be personable with a good sense of humour. You will need to have solid experience of managing a team and a track record of building relationships across the business.
