Cameron James is delighted to be supporting a rapidly growing,entrepreneurial SME in the recruitment of a Management Accountant position.

This is a senior role within the business with overall responsibility for the production of management accountants for two companies within the group, supervision of a small finance team, and a direct report in to the company directors.

Your role will be to supervise and engage with all the tasks within the accounts department of the group and ensure all the monthly routines are running smoothly and on track to meet all target dates and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• VAT return with all purchase and sales invoices recorded;
• Payroll ; Pension; HMRC filing , PAYE payment, Pension Payment
• Partial exemption VAT testing
• Bank reconciliations for all companies within the group
• All relevant monthly journals are completed
• Rental income and rental payment are received and paid on time
• Services invoices from shops (PCT) are closely monitored and confirmed payment
• Intercom Recharges (staff, Van hire, fuel)
• Cheque and Bacs payments and sent out remittances on time
• Locum invoices and payments on time
• Loan repayments and journals recording
• Eliminations of intercom balances and transactions
• Company house AR filing
• Management accounts information (PNL, BS, Cashflow, KPI, Budgeting, Forecasting, business and financial information analysis, C/tax POA)
• Calculate the Loan covenant requirement and ensure they are met
• Close year end accordingly (e.g. SKF Ltd FY16) after checked & confirmed with the SFS
• Fixed assets ( Addition, disposal, Depreciation and Amortisation)
• Prepare yearend audit file FY1617 (SIL, LPRL, SKF Ltd, LPL)
• Prepare and arrange yearend stock valuation and calculation
• Preparing templates for new financial year (payroll, cashsheet, PPD, MA,)
• Preparing budgeting and forecasting for the new financial years

Key competencies:

• Must be fully qualified (ACA,ACCA or CIMA)
• Have experience of using Sage 50
• Previous managerial experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Problem solving and accounting analysis and business strategy.
