Cameron James is currently recruiting for a CFO role in an exciting, high growth SME within the retail sector.

Reporting into the MD the role will be a ‘hands on’ position, you will responsible for the full finance function and all the day to day accounting. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

The role:



• Hands-on role, managing a team of 4 overseeing all aspects of the finance function
• Responsibility for management accounts, reporting financial management information and year end statutory accounts / audit, filing corporation tax and VAT
• Stock control and reporting
• Responsibility for budgeting and financial business planning (annual budgets, annual cashflow, weekly and monthly treasury and cashflow forecasting)
• Oversee credit control, AR & AP and day to day transactions
• Cost control and management
• Closely manage cash and cashflow (profits, working capital, capex)
• Manage FX exposure Manage external relationships
• Responsible for all corporate insurances, leasehold and property matters

The person spec:

• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, working closely with Directors of the Company to help set strategy and improve day to day performance, as well as working with heads of other teams to ensure a strong collaborative approach to day to day operations (e.g. Sales; logistics)
• Technically adept able to provide strong financial control
• Experience of the retail sector
• Self-starter, enjoys a challenge and problem solving; able to use received wisdom as well as think outside of the box
• Working knowledge of Sage preferred; strong experience in Excel and other MS Office software expected
