We are working with an established business within the Care and Health industry and due to continued growth, they are recruiting for an enthusiastic HR Officer / HR Advisor.

Reporting into the Head of HR, the role will be providing HR support to around 160 employees and include all aspects of generalist HR - including ER, Recruitment, HR Policies and best practice, L&D and HR administration.

This is a varied and hands on HR role and will involve working closely and supporting the Head of HR. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Assisting the Head of HR with all aspects of generalist HR matters - providing HR support to around 160 employees
• Reviewing and developing relevant HR policies and procedures
• Providing advice and coaching to managers in relation to ER matters including employee performance, conduct and absence management. Including assisting with preparations for disciplinary and grievance hearings as necessary
• Providing HR advice and assistance to employees
• Managing and maintaining contracts, personnel files and other employee information
• Assisting with coordinating training and development programmes and liaising with external training bodies as required.
• Administration of internal training programmes. Assistance with managing employee related programmes such as the Office Induction, Performance and Appraisal Systems
• Providing support in relation to the administration and processing of enhanced DBS applications, OCH health clearances and references
• Providing administrative support as required including in respect to maintaining personnel files and audits
• Keeping up to date with employment law and current HR practice

For this role candidates will have proven experience working at this level and will ideally be studying towards or be CIPD Qualified.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to liaise with managers and employees across the business.
