We are working with an established business within the Care and Health industry and due to continued growth, they are recruiting for an enthusiastic HR Administrator.

Reporting into the HR Advisor, the role will be responsible for providing efficient and effective HR administration and support

This is a varied and hands on HR role and will have exposure to all aspects of a busy generalist HR role. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Assisting the HR Advisor with all aspects of generalist HR matters - providing HR support to around 160 employees
• Dealing with a range of HR support including recruitment, HR administration, Training, Starters / Leavers and HR compliance
• Recruitment - Screening CV’s and initial telephone interviews, Organising open days and interview paperwork, managing testing etc
• Starter / leaver process - completing background checks, enhanced DBS checks and references, Issuing of staff contracts, handbooks and ID cards.
• Training - Monitoring that all staff are up to date with the relevant training by running reports regularly, Booking staff onto training, Actively promoting new sessions to ensure maximum take-up, Coordinate the training of all staff, training paperwork and training feedback.
• Keeping up to date with employment law and current HR practice.
• Assisting with the updating of the Staff Handbooks as required.
• Updating and maintaining personnel records in the HR database and personnel files including ID cards, enhanced DBS and health checks.
• Taking minutes at HR meetings as and when required.
• Creating staff profiles for all new staff and updating the notice board
• Maintaining and updating the statistics database for HR reporting

For this role candidates will have proven experience working at this level and will ideally have started studying towards CIPD or be interested in starting this.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, in addition to strong administration skills.
