Cameron James is recruiting a Business Development Manager role on behalf of a Wakefield based service business who operate in the construction sector.

Our client, a small, welcoming business with a real family feel about them are looking for a personable, consultative sales person who is able to build successful client relationships without being overly pushy or resorting to a 'hard sell’ sales style. Applications from candidates who have a background in B2B sales gained within either the construction or glazing industry that would be particularly welcome.

As this role has been created with succession planning in mind - this position offers a fantastic opportunity to a candidate who is looking to progress into a directorial position.

Responsibilities:

• Building client relationships with the view to developing new business opportunities
• Developing effective marketing strategies
• Arranging client visits
• Developing the existing database
• Canvassing for new business leads
• Attending trade shows & visiting local businesses to build your profile within the industry

Key competencies

• Previous experience in a B2B sales role would be highly desirable
• A personable, engaging personality with the ability to build effective business relationships
• Strong IT & administration skills
• As this position requires the successful candidate to attend client visits - you must have a full UK license and access to your own vehicle.
