Commercial Underwriter

Salary- up to £35k

A leading Underwriters are now looking to add a Commercial Underwriter to their growing dynamic team based in Leeds city centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to further their career in Underwriting.

You will build and maintain relationships with clients over the phone, providing excellent customer service at all times. You will work as a member of a small team and be pro-active and willing to help brokers across a number of classes of business including Commercial and Financial Lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to our brokers, prioritising renewals and mid-term adjustments and referrals
• Ensure incoming calls to the team are answered promptly and professionally
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the Technical teams in Leeds and the wider business
• Manage renewal cases working as appropriate with the broker to secure renewal and upsell/cross-sell additional covers

Experience

• Experience dealing with Commercial Combined products, Financial Lines experience would also be preferred
• Have excellent negotiation skills and a clear customer focus
• Have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, both internal and external
