Job Information

One of the UK`s leading printers, who work for a range of well known, blue chip, high street names are recruiting within their Finance Department for an Accounts Assistant to join the team. The successful applicant is likely to have a minimum of 2 years` experience with a small to medium sized business and demonstrate strong Microsoft office skills , Payroll experience plus proven Sage 50 Accounts experience. You will also have excellent communication skills and a great work ethic. They are based south of Bradford which makes them ideal for candidates in Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Leeds, Dewsbury and surrounding areas.

The Role

• Assistance with monthly management accounts including, prepayments, accruals, variance analysis.
• Ad-hoc analysis to support business decision making.
• Prepare key information to support annual preparation of statutory accounts.
• Daily processing of receipts and payments, including reconciliations,
• Maintain Management Information System exchange rates
• Produce daily sales reports for relevant managers.
• Processing sales invoices, customer receipts, and customer statement.
• Debt collection, maintaining and building relationships with customers
• Invoice query resolution
• The successful candidate will be required to provide absence and holiday cover for purchase ledger
• The successful candidate will be managing, in tandem with other staff within the department all aspects of the weekly and monthly payroll system including year-end procedures
• Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

The Person

• Sage 50 experience
• Ideally AAT Qualified or studying
• Strong Excel skills - V Lookups, Pivot Tables, formulas, the ability to create reports and summarise data
• 2 years experience in a similar role
• Credit Control and Payroll experience
