Cameron James Professional Recruitment have partnered with a leading international software business based in London City, to assist with the recruitment of a HR Manager. The organisation employs c700 employees globally, with 350 in the UK. They are one of the market leaders in their field and have won numerous industry awards.

This role would be ideal for an ambitious and progressive HR Advisor / HR Business Partner or Junior HR Manager, looking for the next step in their career.

It is a new and exciting position that will report into the Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for the UK HR operation. The business boasts 20% growth year on year and has ambitious growth plans, so there is excellent opportunity for the role to develop and progress. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Heading up the HR function for the UK business, managing all areas of operational HR, including involvement on strategic and HR project work
• Be the first point of contact for all UK HR related queries from the organisation.
• Able to provide HR support, coaching and guidance across both operational and strategic issues
• Support with the business on employee relations cases, ensuring that these are well managed and meet the requirements of the company policies, best practice and employment legislation
• Providing guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities in order to ensure a consistent, fair and legal approach to people management
• Keep up to date with workplace legislative developments and Employment law
• Maintain an overview of on-going training initiatives and recommend new training initiatives - particularly on the L&D side for people taking on management challenges.
• Monitor the take up of training opportunities, design initiatives and set targets to increase take up if require
• Review and revise HR Policy to ensure compliance and best practice, whilst maintaining a flexible, responsive performance culture.
• Administer and manage periodic performance review process
• Ensure that the staff handbook is comprehensive and up to date. Ensure that managers and staff are aware of the policies and procedures and able to operate them effectively.
• Oversee/monitor recruitment and retention processes, with a focus on diversity.
• Define and report against HR metrics, including HRIS reporting
• Input to other businesses in the group where the HR processes are not that well developed

Candidates will need to have proven HR experience and ideally be CIPD Level 5 Qualified, with strong academics (ideally degree educated).

Tech or software experience would be an advantage (although not essential) and candidates must be confident working in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be working closely with the senior management team.
