We are working with an established and growing manufacturing business and they are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join the business on a 12 month fixed contract.

For this role candidates will need to hold proven manufacturing industry experience and have worked in a HR Manager or Head of HR role.

Reporting into the MD the position has full responsibility for the HR function, providing a generalist and operational HR service to key stakeholders and the overall business. Key duties and responsibilities include;

• Reporting into the MD and overseeing a team of 2 people, providing HR support to c370 employees
• Providing support on all generalist HR areas, including employee relations, reward, performance management, engagement and organisational design.
• Support the business with all areas of ER including; clear and accurate advice on employment law issues, staff welfare, sickness and absence management, capability and performance management.
• Lead on ER investigations, disciplinary and grievance cases, providing advice on redundancies, employment law and legislative changes
• Provide managers operational information and advice on actions around staff turnover, sickness, holidays and absenteeism
• HR analytics and reporting - trends from data to provide insight and solutions to the business, including KPI and HRIS reporting
• Support with the business with recruitment and selection, overseeing sourcing, advertising, updating JD`s, benchmarking and analysis on rewards and benefits
• Support managers with probationary reviews, advise on performance areas and department succession planning
• Review of payroll information

For this role candidates will need to hold proven experience at this level and be confident leading and managing the HR function for the business. Manufacturing experience is essential and you will ideally hold CIPD level 5.

Candidates will need to be flexible and adaptable, and be able to demonstrate drive and commercial acumen. Working as part of the senior team, it is essential that you hold strong communication and interpersonal skills.
