I am currently working in partnership with a long-standing manufacturing company who have an exciting opportunity for a Management Account / Finance Controller to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is already working at this level or someone who has the qualifications, coupled with drive and ambition for the next step within their financial career.

To be successful in this role you will possess great determination and self-confidence, to enable you to play a key part within this busy Finance. Attention to detail and accuracy is paramount within all your daily responsibilities, along with excellent communication skills.

As the Management Account / Finance Controller you will be accountable for:

Production of monthly management reporting packs covering P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flows.
Provide analytical review of overall results for management and reporting purposes.
Processing nominal ledger casing stock transactions on a timely basis.
Monitoring expense base through development of consistent and relevant financial and strategic reporting, and ongoing strategic development through long term financial planning.
Production of reforecasts throughout the year.
Contribute to the provision of a comprehensive business partnering function through the structured provision of useful and timely management financial information and analysis.
Coordination of the end to end expense budgeting process and maintenance of expense allocation policy and modelling capability.
Work directly with external auditors to provide any and all information to run through a smooth audit process.
Completion of VAT returns and submission.
Other duties may be assigned.



Essential requirements for this role:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 result.
Experience in the preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow reporting.
Can demonstrate experience within a manufacturing business using standard costing methodologies.
VAT return submissions.
Strong business modelling and analytical skills, including presentation of information.
Strong Microsoft Excel and data manipulation skills, with experience of working with complex financial models.
Experience of preparing budgets and forecasts and providing analysis on results throughout the budgeting cycle.

Working hours: 37.5hrs, standard office hours Monday to Friday. You will receive a salary of up to £30,000-40,000 per annum depending on experience.
