Working in partnership with one of the country’s leading food manufacturers, I have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced HR Director to join a very busy and successful team. You can be based in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Teesside or Durham as you would be required to travel to the various offices as part of your role.

The key elements of this role are to coach and support Line Managers on employment related matters and implement best practice throughout the company. You will also be responsible for managing and developing the existing team of HR, Recruitment and Training Advisors whilst providing support to the 1700 employees across various company sites.

As the HR Director you will be responsible for:

Leading and developing a small team of HR & Recruitment professionals in providing generalist support to Line Managers on Human Resource matters such as discipline, grievance, absence management and contractual changes
Ensure employee personal development is monitored and driven throughout the business through Development Plans, Performance Reviews etc and be able to introduce new policies
Be a strong brand ambassador to help grow the brand and ensure you are an employer of choice
Identify and fulfil training needs to develop the skills and capabilities of existing people in line with their performance and potential
Produce MI Data, Reporting and HR Analysis, ensuring all documentation is saved on the HR systems accurately and in line with GDPR
There is lots of scope within this opportunity to grow and develop the HR team and introduce and drive new employee initiatives

The successful candidate should have:

Minimum of CIPD Level 5, along with proven experience of being able to provide generalist advise and support to Line Managers across multi-sites whilst managing their own team
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Senior HR role within Retail, manufacturing experience would also be highly desirable
The ability to manage their own time whilst being tenacious and relentless with new ideas and initiatives to help grow the brand
The ability to develop new programs and implement them successfully across the company
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail – strong organisation skills
Strong influencing and strategic planning skills and experience
Excellent relationship management along with a highly skilled personal communication style
Confident Excel user, along with the ability to quickly learn new systems

Working hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. You will receive a fantastic salary that is negotiable depending on your experience, along with a company car, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, pension, discretionary annual bonus 30% of salary based on achieving agreed targets, Bupa private health cover plus more. This role will require you to travel to different sites and regularly visit potential clients so you will need to hold a full, clean driving license.
