Senior HR Officer
We’re seeking to recruit a Senior HR Officer to join a leading manufacturing organisation based close to Melton Mowbray with over 400 employees.
Working as part of the HR team and taking the lead in managing and supporting three Advisors and Co-Ordinators, along with leading on employment related cases of varying levels. With additional strategic people projects work, alongside auditing, reviewing, and driving efficiencies and improvements on a day-to-day basis.
In essence, this is a HR Manager role and best suited to a Senior HR Officer looking to take that next career step.
Reporting into the HR Director and taking the responsibility to ensure operational HR excellence throughout the organisation and driving forward the people strategy. Key responsibilities include:
• Managing, supporting and developing a team of HR Advisors/ Co-Ordinator’s who in turn support the three shift patterns with all associated HR employee’s lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain the people system, combined with regular reporting, reviewing, and striving for continuous improvement.
• Manage timelines and all reviews within the employee lifecycle.
• Build collaborative relationships with the managers to preempt people issues.
• Write, implement, and review HR policies and procedures across the business.
• Manage staff absences and health related matters, including using Occupational Health
We’re keen to hear from individuals who enjoy a ‘hands on’ approach to work, both people and process orientated and ready to develop and manage people. You will also enjoy working in systematic and workflow efficient environment and always be striving to deliver the highest of standards.
You will also be CIPD qualified (ideal), with previous experience of working as a HR Office level. With a genuine interest in Human Resources, best practice, and improvement initiatives, and excellent organisation, communication, and inter-personal skills.
