Overview A hands-on generalist HR role supporting a multi-disciplinary workforce across manufacturing, R&D, technical and office-based functions. This opportunity sits within a fast-paced, unionised environment, delivering consistent HR support across key areas including employee relations, recruitment, and management guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead on employee relations issues, including absence management, conduct, performance, and health & safety concerns

• Provide effective support to managers on day-to-day HR queries and internal communications

• Manage recruitment processes from vacancy approval through onboarding and induction

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records; contribute to reporting and HR metrics

• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives

• Support HR policy development and ensure alignment with business needs and legislation

• Work confidently with HR systems and databases (experience with SAP SuccessFactors advantageous)

• Navigate complex and sensitive matters with diplomacy and discretion

Qualifications & Experience

• CIPD Level 5 (or currently working towards)

• Proven HR advisory experience, ideally within a unionised or manufacturing setting

• Strong understanding of UK employment law and experience with ER case management

• Comfortable working collaboratively in a demanding, fast-moving environment

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data reporting skills
