Job Title: HR Advisor (Fixed-Term Contract – 6 Months) Location: Cramlington, Northumberland Hours: 35 per week (Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm; Friday, 9am–3pm) Start Date: Immediate

Overview A hands-on generalist HR role supporting a multi-disciplinary workforce across manufacturing, R&D, technical and office-based functions. This opportunity sits within a fast-paced, unionised environment, delivering consistent HR support across key areas including employee relations, recruitment, and management guidance.

Responsibilities
Lead on employee relations issues, including absence management, conduct, performance, and health & safety concerns
Provide effective support to managers on day-to-day HR queries and internal communications
Manage recruitment processes from vacancy approval through onboarding and induction
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records; contribute to reporting and HR metrics
Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives
Support HR policy development and ensure alignment with business needs and legislation
Work confidently with HR systems and databases (experience with SAP SuccessFactors advantageous)
Navigate complex and sensitive matters with diplomacy and discretion

Qualifications & Experience
CIPD Level 5 (or currently working towards)
Proven HR advisory experience, ideally within a unionised or manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of UK employment law and experience with ER case management
Comfortable working collaboratively in a demanding, fast-moving environment
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data reporting skills
