Part-Time HR Manager – Maternity Cover  
Contract Duration: 8 Months 
Working Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 
Start Date: Immediate
A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a hands-on, part-time role offering the opportunity to lead HR operations and provide strategic support across the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, offering guidance on employee relations, compliance, and HR best practices. You’ll be the go-to person for all HR matters, ensuring consistency and professionalism in every interaction.
Role Overview
Provide day-to-day HR support across all departments
Advise managers on policies, procedures, and employee relations
Handle complex HR cases in collaboration with external advisors
Monitor compliance with employment legislation and internal standards
Support onboarding and return-to-work processes
Lead disciplinary and grievance procedures
Identify and escalate potential risks to senior leadership
Deliver HR projects and contribute to a positive workplace culture
Candidate Profile
Strong background in employee relations and HR operations
Proven experience in SMEs with fast-paced environments
CIPD Level 5 qualification
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
