Learning and Development Specialist

A multi office professional services organisation is strengthening its Learning & Development function and seeking an experienced L&D Specialist to build structure, consistency and long term capability across the business. This role blends strategy, delivery and early careers development with hands on facilitation across all sites.
 
Key Responsibilities
• Lead Early Careers strategy from school engagement through to graduates, apprentices and trainees.
• Strengthen attraction pathways: schools, universities, work experience and career fairs.
• Own onboarding, induction and career pathway design for a consistent new starter experience.
• Develop mentoring programmes that boost confidence, engagement and retention.
• Manage early career progression routes and training contracts.
• Deliver high quality training across offices with regular on site presence.
• Introduce soft skills development for emerging talent (communication, client interaction, time management).
• Embed structured L&D practices and best practice processes.
Compliance & Standards
• Ensure learning, induction and early careers programmes meet regulatory and professional standards.
• Maintain audit ready documentation and quality assurance.
• Coordinate mandatory compliance training, including scheduling, enrolment, communications, reminders and completion tracking.
Progression Framework
• Support competency based progression routes and promotion processes across professional grades.

Candidate Profile
Essential
• Broad L&D generalist experience.
• Skilled in designing structured learning pathways.
• Early careers experience.
• Confident facilitator with strong stakeholder management.
• Familiar with LMS platforms and digital learning.
• Comfortable with compliance cycles.
• Highly organised and detail driven.
• L&D, coaching, facilitation or CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
 
Desirable
• Professional services background.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• Awareness of regulatory frameworks and quality standards.
