Are you an SME Account Handler looking to join a growing, forward-thinking brokerage in Leeds? Our client, a well-established and highly regarded independent broker, is looking to strengthen their SME team with the addition of a proactive and customer-focused Account Handler. You will manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized commercial clients across a wide range of sectors. You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional service, ensuring clients are fully protected, and building strong, lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities include:
• Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business enquiries
• Negotiating with insurers to secure competitive terms
• Providing technical advice and tailored insurance solutions
• Managing documentation and ensuring compliance standards are met
• Supporting Account Executives where required
About You:
• Previous experience in a Commercial or SME Account Handler role
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products (e.g. Property, Liability, Motor, Package policies)
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a busy workload
• Cert CII qualified (or working towards) desirable but not essential
• Acturis experience would be beneficial
