The Role – Mortgage Account Manager / Mortgage Case Manager – Gateshead
Working closely with the Mortgage Advisor Team and reporting directly to the Senior Mortgage Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role as both a Mortgage Account Manager and Mortgage Case Manager, managing client relationships and overseeing the end-to-end flow of mortgage business.
As a Mortgage Account Manager in Gateshead, you will have full access to all new mortgage enquiries generated from a wide variety of sources including new build developers, estate agents, web leads and professional referrals. Every lead is logged through a state-of-the-art CRM platform, allowing you to analyse source, performance and conversion.
As a Mortgage Case Manager, you will ensure that every enquiry is distributed promptly to the appropriate Mortgage Broker and that full and accurate notes are maintained on the CRM system, ensuring complete transparency and data-driven performance management.
This role sits at the heart of the mortgage brokerage, directly influencing client experience, conversion rates and ultimately the firm’s high earnings capability.
Candidates holding CeMAP or working towards CeMAP will benefit from long-term progression within the advisory side of the business.

Key Responsibilities – Mortgage Account Manager / Mortgage Case Manager
As a Mortgage Account Manager and Mortgage Case Manager based in Gateshead, your responsibilities will include:
• Acting as a primary Mortgage Account Manager, managing and nurturing relationships with existing mortgage clients
• Operating as a Mortgage Case Manager, supporting mortgage business from initial enquiry through to completion
• Reviewing all mortgage leads received from developers, estate agents, web portals and referrals
• Ensuring every lead is allocated and contacted promptly by the Mortgage Broker team
• Maintaining complete accuracy within the CRM system, ensuring all updates and notes are logged
• Liaising with Mortgage Brokers to ensure every enquiry is followed up and progressed
• Coordinating broker diaries and appointment scheduling
• Supporting the after-sales mortgage and protection process
• Chasing outstanding documentation and progressing applications
• Liaising with lenders, solicitors, clients and internal stakeholders
• Producing performance insights and reports for Senior Management
• Identifying trends in mortgage and protection conversions
• Maintaining service excellence in line with a professional Mortgage Account Manager function

Skills & Experience Required – Mortgage Account Manager / Mortgage Case Manager
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
• Previous experience as a Mortgage Account Manager, Mortgage Case Manager, Mortgage Administrator or similar financial services role
• Strong exposure to mortgage or financial services environments
• Working towards or holding CeMAP (highly advantageous)
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Confidence working with CRM systems and IT platforms
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Ability to work in a collaborative, performance-led team
