Role Overview – Trainee Mortgage Broker / Trainee Mortgage Advisor (Client Services)

Based in Colchester, you will be responsible for speaking with new and existing clients regarding mortgage enquiries and booking appointments for in-house brokers.

This is a professional telephone-based role — not a high-volume call centre — with approximately 50 calls per week.

Key Duties

• Contact all new mortgage leads provided

• Pre-qualify customers and assess mortgage eligibility

• Arrange appointments with mortgage and protection advisors

• Contact existing clients approaching renewal (6–12 months)

• Book and confirm appointments via Outlook diary system

• Maintain CRM records and client contact notes

• Build strong internal relationships with advisors and management

• Maximise all opportunities from warm leads

• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times

• Work to agreed business and appointment targets

• Develop knowledge to progress into a Trainee Mortgage Advisor role
